Aid to the Church in Need, Foundation of the Holy See, was promoted by Pope Pius XII and started by P. Werenfried van Straaten in 1947, to help pastorally the church in need or suffering persecution in any part of the world. It has 22 national offices and supports projects in more than 140 countries around the world, including Mexico.
